Investing
I write $20–100k checks.
I invest early, when the product and go-to-market are still taking shape. I care more about evidence from the market than polished decks. I move quickly and give founders a clear decision.

DemandWho needs this enough to pay for it before you have fully built it? Conversations and commitments to pay matter more than a TAM slide. Rob Snyder’s PULL framework is a good explanation of how I think about demand. I’m a builder at heart, but great products alone don’t create successful businesses.
SpeedI look for founders who are resourceful, move quickly, and change their minds when customers give them better information.
Market contactThe right idea usually emerges through repeated contact with the right market. Take shots, learn, and keep narrowing toward what people pull from you.
What you get from me
I get into the work. If I see a way to improve an important email, deck, or customer conversation, I will help fix it.
- A founder asked for an introduction to a major prospect but sent a weak forwardable email. I rewrote it, made the introduction, and that prospect became the company’s largest customer.
- I work through sales decks, outbound messages, positioning, and the story you tell customers and investors.
- I make targeted introductions to customers, angels, and seed or Series A funds when there is a clear fit.
- As a solo founder, I understand the tension between building the product and selling it. I am useful on both sides.
I’m a YC founder with a strong network in San Francisco. I managed Dorm Room Fund’s New York arm, started the First Round-backed Graduate Fund, and was a Kleiner Perkins Fellow. I can introduce founders to investors and customers; operating is where I’m most useful.
